Swine Flu May Be Less Potent Than Original Fears

In New York City swine flu has not spread far beyond cases linked to one Catholic school. In Mexico very few relatives of flu victims seem to have caught it, which indicates (to a certain extent) that the transmission of the virus may be harder than first anticipated.
With that said, however, most experts are indicated that it is still to early to tell. Regardless of how deadly the virus ends up being, the safest course of action is to prepare for the worse and take down this virus as fast as possible. The biggest fear is that (although this version of the virus is not a cause for too much concern), if the virus mutates in the near future, or perhaps next flu season, that we will have something much more dangerous on our hands.

Too bad that as usual fear and over-reaction
was spread by our government and others like
usual. In 1976 they did the same thing with
the Swine flu. This time though people were
disciminated against by being austrisized for
simply having a cough. In Accapolco Mexico any
one with Mexico City licens plates had their
cars stoned. people were made to wear masks or
asked to leave areas by others who where just
freaking out over this. Our Government and
W.H.O and others in power should be ashameds of
themsleves for spreading such fear and stirring
up a freanzy before they really knew whether the
flu was going to even be an epidemic let alone
a pandwemic. This is an example of how ignorrant
we as humans can still be. This is how the leper
colonies got started and how 11 million jews
were systematically killed. By thos in power
spreading fear about something either without
truth or in this case without knowing how bad
it really was. Stupid. i suspect this will run
just like the Burd flu did a few years back.
Nothing they said would happen did. The one
that ends up killing most of us will be already
way too late before they realize it, that is
how the one to worry about will happen, done
before we know what’a happening.
